Mission Statement

The Phase I mission of the Los Angeles Regional Uniform Code Program is to minimize the number of and to develop uniformity in local technical amendments to model codes, including the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code and the National Electrical Code, as amended by the State of California, for adoption by jurisdictions in the greater Los Angeles region.

This Phase is based on the California three-year model code adoption cycle.  The first such effort took place from April 30,1998 through July 1, 1999.  With the California Building Standards Commission adopting their 2001 editions of California model codes, LARUCP has once again completed Phase I activities.

Phase I Committees
